THE DARK ACT DEFEATED IN THE SENATE

Sunday, July 24th, 2016

On March 16, 2016 thanks to thousands of people like you (more than 170,000 comments to the Senate and over 10,000 calls), the U.S. Senate was unable to pass a vote to move the DARK Act (“Deny Americans the Right to Know”) that would ban state GMO labeling laws forward. Several companies—including General Mills, Mars, Con Agra and Kellogg’s—have joined Campbell,s by announcing that they will label all of their products that contain genetically engineered food.  This was big news and we hope that other food companies will stop lobbying against GMO labels and also comply.  Check out foodandwaterwatch.org for the latest action on this issue.  Like us on Facebook.
